Rengim Gokmen, born on August 19, 1955, in Ankara, is a prominent Turkish conductor. He has played pivotal roles in the classical music scene of Turkey, serving as the General Director of the Turkish State Opera and Ballet during 1992-1995 and 2007-2014. He also held the position of Principal Conductor of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra from 2006 to 2020.
Rüya Taner, born in 1971 and originally from Germany, is a Turkish Cypriot pianist. She moved to Ankara, Turkey, in the early 1980s, where she pursued her studies at the State Conservatory. Taner is recognized as one of the foremost Turkish pianists of the contemporary generation.
