Social Responsibility

The Posters of Turkey became an instant hit. The project sparked tremendous interest on traditional, and social media.

In December 2011, as one of the official communications agencies of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, I Mean It Creative took on a voluntary project. Motivated by our love for Turkey and passion for proactivity, we asked ourselves, “How could we provide tourist facilities with consistent and high-quality visuals that they could use?” The answer was “the Posters of Turkey,” which became widely popular.

We started by compiling a list of Turkey’s values. Our list included but not limited to; local produce, famous locations, and authentic traditions. Then we designed 54 posters and uploaded them to turkiyeposterleri.com, which could be accessed free of charge.

The Posters of Turkey became an instant hit. The project sparked tremendous interest on traditional, and social media. Soon after, the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism created an official calendar based on the Posters of Turkey. Within weeks, more than 100,000 posters were downloaded from our website, a myriad of posters were shared on social media.

While these metrics were encouraging, we knew that the real sign of success would be to see those posters hung on the walls of the tourist facilities. That dream came true quickly. From retail shops to five-star hotels, to restaurants, to coffee shops countless tourist facilities started using our posters. Some brands even integrated the Posters of Turkey into their packaging, while some travel agencies created special series.
