Designing the Legacy

At I Mean It Creative, we believe design is not just about aesthetics but about storytelling, capturing the essence of a place, a person, or a memory. This philosophy guided us when we were entrusted with creating promotional posters for the Mustafa Koç Golf Course in Istanbul, designed by our founder and esteemed illustrator, Emrah Yücel.

The Mustafa Koç Golf Course holds deep significance beyond its beautiful landscape and world-class facilities. It stands as a heartfelt tribute to a remarkable figure—Mustafa V. Koç. Born on Republic Day, October 29, 1960, Mustafa Koç embodied the values of the Turkish Republic throughout his life. He was more than a successful businessman; his generosity, humility, and commitment to the community left an indelible mark on those who knew him, and even those who didn’t.

His love for golf was well-known, and it was a dream of his to see a new golf course flourish in Riva, Istanbul. After his passing in 2016, this dream became a reality through the efforts of his wife, Caroline Koç. The course, now a cornerstone for Turkish golf, features 9 holes spread across 5,810 meters of stunning landscape, a state-of-the-art training area, and an exclusive club for members.

Emrah Yücel’s approach to designing the posters was to honor Mustafa Koç’s legacy while capturing the grandeur and serenity of the golf course. Each design merges elegance with a personal touch, evoking the spirit of a man whose passions went beyond the boardroom, and into the heart of nature. The posters celebrate the fusion of sport and nature, but most importantly, they celebrate a man whose vision continues to inspire.

At I Mean It Creative, we are proud to have contributed to this project, where every visual element is designed to reflect the timeless legacy of Mustafa Koç and the extraordinary space that bears his name. Whether you are a golfer or simply appreciate fine design, these posters invite you to experience the spirit of excellence that defines the Mustafa Koç Golf Course.
