I Mean It recorded Duble Meze’s chefs at work, capturing their artisanal touches.

In Turkish culinary culture, at the beginning of all large meals a selection of small dishes is served. Accompanied by alcoholic drinks, these appetizers are called “meze.” These delicious finger foods are often served at meyhanes, restaurant with traditional food, decoration, and music.

Istanbul has no shortage of great meyhanes. That being said, they all offer a traditional setting, creating a sea of sameness. Located on the roof of the historic Palazzo Donizetti Hotel in Istanbul’s trendy Beyoglu district, Duble Meze exists to offer an exciting modern take on the traditional “meyhane” experience. Our task was to tell the unique story of Duble Meze with a short promotional video to be used on social media.

I Mean It recorded Duble Meze’s chefs at work, capturing their artisanal touches. We shot the restaurant’s gorgeous design. And, we filmed the most breathtaking views of the vibrant Pera neighborhood. Then, we selected the best of those breathtaking scenes, added modern tunes, and used descriptive supers. The result is a mouthwatering short video, which embodies the unique aura of the restaurant.
