Understanding the Brand’s Essence

Sapphere Pet Food entered the market with a clear vision: to offer premium, wet pâté pet food for cats and dogs, featuring high-quality ingredients, low cholesterol, and added vitamins. However, the challenge was to translate this vision into a brand identity that would not only attract pet owners but also communicate trust, quality, and care in a crowded industry.

At the heart of the Sapphere brand are its values: health, wellness, and premium quality. Our job at I Mean It Creative was to develop a branding strategy that would amplify these values and resonate with the target audience of discerning, health-conscious pet owners. The solution? A holistic branding approach that integrates logo design, packaging, and a communication strategy tailored to the modern pet food landscape.

Logo Design: The Face of the Brand

The logo is the first point of contact between the brand and its audience, making it a critical aspect of branding. For Sapphere, we needed a logo that conveyed luxury, trust, and nurturing care for pets. The name “Sapphere” itself evokes the image of preciousness and quality, which we used as inspiration for creating a logo that feels both elegant and approachable.

The typography complements this design, using an elegant but clean font that communicates sophistication while remaining accessible to the everyday pet owner.

Packaging Design: Standing Out on Shelves

In the competitive pet food aisle, packaging is a key differentiator. Sapphere’s 400g cans are designed not only to look premium but also to clearly communicate the nutritional benefits and variety of flavors available.

To make each product distinct yet cohesive, we designed a color-coded system for the different protein varieties—blue for fish, yellow for poultry, and red for red meat. This simple yet effective system allows consumers to easily identify the products that best suit their pets’ preferences while maintaining a unified brand look across the range.

The packaging design features high-resolution images of happy, healthy pets to evoke an emotional connection with pet owners. Paired with visual representations of the core ingredients—like fish or chicken—the design assures consumers that they’re purchasing a product made from premium, natural ingredients. Additionally, the clean layout ensures that important information, such as the product’s low cholesterol and added vitamins, is front and center, further reinforcing the product’s health benefits.
