Our approach combined the iconic “100” motif with the graphic and typographic sensibilities of the early Turkish Republic era, evoking the spirit of progress and innovation that defines İş Bankası. This design language pays homage to the bank’s role as a pillar of economic independence and modernization in Turkey.
A Modern Museum for a New Era
Housed in a historic building in Istanbul’s Eminönü district, originally constructed in 1892 as an Ottoman post office, the museum has undergone a transformation to provide a more modern and engaging experience. Spread across two floors, the exhibition explores İş Bankası’s foundation, its contributions to industrial growth, its technological advancements, and its impact on contemporary banking.
Visitors can journey through time, from the bank’s early years supporting savings and economic development to its modern-day initiatives in sustainability and gender equality. With artifacts like typewriters, calculators, and early computers, the museum also offers an immersive look at technological evolution in banking and daily life.
